Jane Ellen (Zimmerman) Eppele

Jane Eppele, 84, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2017. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, her youth was spent living in a number of States due to her father's role as Director of the Billy Rose Aquacades.
Thankfully, her parents returned to Cleveland when she was a teenager, for it was there she met Duayne Eppele, her one true love. They married in 1951, and in 1958 moved to El Cajon, California, where they were devotedly together until his death in 1996. Both were retired employees of San Diego County.
In addition to her favorite roles of wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was an accomplished artist and avid gardener. She was also an adventurous traveler, taking great pride in having visited all 50 States.
She is survived by daughters Janet (Dave) Hargis and Nancy (Rod) Reid. She loved being Grandma Jane to Deborah Kosi, Melanie Knight, Sarah "Sadie" (Tony) Pace, Jason (Sarah) Knight, Nick (Jordan) Knight and 13 great-grandchildren.
