Janet Ann Ferrell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janet Ann Ferrell, who left us on November 20, 2024, at the age of 72. Janet was a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met.

Janet was born on February 20, 1952, in Silver City, New Mexico, to Ralph M. Machen Jr. and Barbara J. Holderman Machen. She lived a life full of love and compassion, always putting her pets and others before herself.

She was a devoted mother to her son, Carl Scott Sheller, who was the light of her life. Janet was also a loving wife, now reunited with her late husband Lawrence "LH" Ferrell who passed in 2008.

Janet had a special place in her heart for her dog, Troy. Their bond was a testament to her nurturing nature and love for animals. Troy brought immense joy to Janet’s life, and their companionship was a source of comfort and happiness.

Janet is survived by her sister, Barbara and husband, Ivan Alvey; brother, Jimmy Ferguson; her son, Carl Scott, and wife, Amanda Sheller; two granddaughters, HaLeigh and husband, Zachary Englert, and Layne Sheller; and great-grandson, Jenson Englert; Nieces Becky Hill and Bethany Daughtry, and nephew Brian Shepard.

In addition to her close relatives, Janet leaves behind a community of friends and loved ones who will cherish her memory forever. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held at a later date in Bangs Texas.

Rest in peace, Janet. You will be forever in our hearts.
