Janice Ellen Burroughs went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 7, 2026 (age 85) in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born on January 6, 1941 in Rochester, New York near Batavia. She was the first of five children born to Clayton and Almeda Miller.

She graduated in the Class of 1958 at Byron-Bergen High School. After graduating nursing school, she married Gerald (Jerry) Burroughs on September 23, 1961 and moved from New York to Arizona in 1969 where they became actively involved in serving in the Christian Motorcycle Association and at Dream City Church (formerly Phoenix First Assembly of God). She was well known for giving and receiving hugs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, motorcycle rides, camping, and swimming. At the age of seventy she retired from a long Nurse’s Aid career with Maryville Hospital and Banner Surgery Center.

She is survived by her husband of almost sixty five years, Jerry Burroughs, sisters Esther (Larry) Booker & Cheryl (Bill) Mackmer & brother Delbert, sister-in-law Kathy Miller, three sons Larry, Steve (Judy), & Alan, five grandchildren, one great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews & five high school classmates. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Paul Miller, and her sister-in-law Ann Miller.

Services will be held at Fellowship Square in Phoenix, Arizona on September 19, 2026 from 4:00-6:00 PM and at Dream City Church in Phoenix, Arizona in the Maranatha Sunday School Class Building H on September 20, 2026 at 10:30 AM.

Donations may be made in her honor to both the Christian Motorcycle Association and Dream City Church.
