Jerald Wayne Garrett

OXNARD – My dearest husband, Jerald W. Garrrett, born on May 3, 1928, went to be with our Lord on October 9, 2020. He was a strong Christian man, dedicated husband, loving father of 3 children, 4 stepchildren and a grandfather to 20 children and 26 great-grandchildren. He lived a life of service with 20 years in the US Army and his dedication to the Church of the Nazarene. After his military service he was employed for 25 years with GTE/Verizon then retired 1993. During his retirement he was able to indulge in his love of model railroading and spending time with his family.

The memorial service will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, 1630 Saviers Rd Oxnard, Ca. 93033 on October 17, 2020 at 10 AM. Due to the current pandemic, attendees will be limited to 35 people. The service will be broadcast at the following link:

After the service, there will be limited visitation at the Garrett residence. We request contacting the family prior to visiting to limit the number of visitors. In lieu of flowers we request donations be made to the American Heart Association.
