Jill Barrie Zammas

Jill Zammas, 79, of Port St. Lucie, passed away on August 25, 2025 in the comfort of her home with her daughter Shari at her side. 

Jill was born in Brooklyn, New York to George and Sylvia Evans on January 2, 1946. She went to Erasmus High School in Flatbush, Brooklyn. She relocated to Florida when she was 16 and graduated from Miami High School. Jill worked as a corporate paralegal for her entire career. 

Jill loved to travel and was fortunate to travel all over the US and Europe. Visiting the art galleries in the different locations was the highlight of the trip. She had a very eclectic taste for art. She took great pride in the many different pieces of artwork displayed in her home. Handmade sculptures, jewelry, stained glass, mosaics, watercolors and making beautiful quilts were just some of her great artistic abilities.

Jill is preceded in death by Jeff Zammas her son, Naomi Feldman her loving aunt and her parents George and Sylva Evans. 

Jill is survived by Shari Rhymer Moseley her daughter and husband Paul, Seth Evans her brother and wife Page, her grandchildren Justin Rhymer and wife Lauren, Evan Rhymer, Joshua Rhymer, Ian Zammas, great-grandson Owen Rhymer, step great-grandchildren Wesley and Ruby, daughter-in-law Kelly Zammas, numerous cousins, friends and the wonderful and loving Trumpet Tree Circle family that she so dearly loved and was blessed to have.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held between 12:00-4:00pm on Saturday October 11, 2025 at Jill's house 9828 SW Trumpet Tree Circle, Port St. Lucie, Florida. Come and share the wonderful memories and great times that we will always remember having made with her. 

Light refreshments will be served.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network), BCRF (Breast Cancer Research Foundation) or any charitable organization of your choosing.
