Ada Miller who preceded him in death April 16, 1995, and current spouse of Shirley Jane Gallagher. Mourned by Son, Richard A. Miller, Grants Pass, OR. and Daughter Donna J. McLain and husband, Paul, of Longview, WA., Granddaughter Paula A. Taylor and husband, Mark, of Salem, OR. Great grandchildren, Derek and Rebecca Carlson, granddaughter Charis Eastman, grandsons Paul J. and Andrew J. McLain, and extended family on both coasts ''' Washington/Oregon and New York.John H. Miller was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Albany-Rensselaer, New York. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1941 ''' 1949. Post-service, he attended C.R.E.I. in Wash. D.C. where he received a college degree in Electronics. This was put to use in the 19 years he worked at The Boeing Company (1952 ''' 1971). After retirement from Boeing, he continued to work in his own business, Jack'?s Custom Wood Working, and later teamed with wife Katy as owners of Vesta Cutting Employment Agency in the 1980'?s. In retirement, they traveled throughout the country in their truck and trailer ('''Cupcake''?). In later years, they were frequent visitors to Hawaii, and Mexico, with other cruises or airline trips to Europe and China.At his request, no memorial services will be held, with inurnment at the Evergreen-Washelli Columbarium. The family requests that memorials be made in Jack'?s memory to the Salvation Army.Smart Cremation entrusted with arrangments
