John D. Rockafellow

John D. Rockafellow, Jr., 73, of Krum went to be the Lord, Tuesday, December 1, 2020at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. He was born February 16,1947 in Oneonta, New York to John D. Rockafellow, Sr. and Clara Stevens. He grew up in Worcester, New York with His father and stepmother Ellen Silvernail Rockafellow and attended Worcester Central School before joining the Marine Corp in 1966. He was proud Marine Vietnam veteran and a life member of the Marine Corp League. John worked as a carpenter, as supervisor for Fox & Jacobs builders, and helped to open and manage self storage facilities for Dexter Management. He was predeceased by his grandson John Tex Rockafellow in 2008. Surviving are his wife Carrie Brady Rockafellow, son John Travis Rockafellow (wife Melissa Griffin),son Jason Daniel Rockafellow, a sister Connie Robin Hornstra (husband Robert) and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Memorial services will be held at a later date and time at the Sanger Cemetery. Cremation services were prearranged with Smart Cremation.
