John W. Rothe, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died on December 28, 2025 in Port Charlotte, FL. He was 69 years old. He was born July 10, 1956 in Jersey City, NJ to Hans Rothe and Lillian (Cameron). He lived in Succasunna, NJ and Hackettstown, NJ before moving to Florida in 2009 and residing there until the time of his death.

He was a CPA who owned an accounting partnership in NJ, and subsequently a private accounting practice in FL. John exemplified the adage “love what you do and never work a day in your life”. He was passionate about his work and genuinely dedicated to his clients, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and respect.

On August 25, 1984, he married Gail A Buoniconti in Succasunna, NJ. Together, they raised their family in Hackettstown, NJ. John loved being a father and was a role model for his children, actively participating in their lives and supporting them in their activities and interests.

John is survived by his wife Gail of 41 years, their three children; son Jeffrey, son Michael and his wife Laura, grandson Tristan, daughter Melissa, grandson Malachi, sister Linda Miller, sister-in-law Deborah Rothe, and nieces Lauren and Kristen Rothe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Lillian Rothe, and his siblings, William Rothe and Alan Rothe.
