John Jefferson Spikes Jr

John Jefferson Spikes Jr, of Baytown Texas died unexpectedly on December 9th, 2022 from respiratory failure. John was 65 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. John was born on September 14^th 1957, and lived in Illinois for 40 years of his life.

John was employed with the Village of Bloomingdale, Illinois for 25+ years and retired 5 years ago.

He was a lover of movies, music, and trivia. Everyone who knew John knew how caring and friendly he was. John was full of love and dad jokes, traits that were obvious to all after even just a single meeting with him.

John is survived by his wife Charlene (Gillis) Spikes, son Michael Spikes and spouse Chelse Spikes, son Shane Spikes, daughter Sabrina DeDore and spouse Jake DeDore, sister Juli Jensen, brothers Jay and Jerry Spikes, and grandchildren Isabella Glass, Robert Marley, and Brayden Anderson-Hiller. He was preceded in death by his father John Spikes Sr, mother Marilyn Spikes (Tomlinson), brother Jim Spikes, and mother-in law Lorraine Gillis. We will miss our husband and father more than words can say.

He is being cremated and a celebration of life is still being planned at this time.
