John Paul Steadham

John was born in Spur, Texas to John B. & Kathryn E. Steadham on October 14th,1938. Passing peacefully on November 10th, 2021 after being diagnosed with cancer 8months ago. John was raised in Tacoma,Washington & graduated Lincoln high school in 1956. Going on to becoming a merchant marine, at sea sometimes for months. Traveling Alaska,Japan,Taiwan & Thailand to name a few places. The sea was his passion. John continued as security guard in Olympia, Wa. for the US Government. Very proud of his 37+yrs of sobriety & being a Christian. Preceded in death by his parents and sister Carol Dubois. Survived by 2 sisters: Adele Guthrie of Tacoma,Wa. & Mary K. Landry of Florida. 3 daughter's: Laura Steadham, Cheryl Lortz & Marcey Jeanes. Known lovingly as Gramps to a few of his 8 grands: Lyndsey Rae Harpel, Phillip, Ashley & Jacob Basher, Nikkole Aponte, Jesse Wilson, Nathan Aynes & Cassie Jeanes. 17 great grandchildren & 2 great-great grandsons. There will be a open reception scheduled-to be announced at a later date.
