John “Jack” F. Toutloff, Jr. passed away January 12, 2023, at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale, Arizona, following a brief illness. He was 82 years old, born June 7, 1940, in Ishpeming, Michigan to John F. and Jeanne (Anderson) Toutloff. John grew up in Jackson, MI. He served in the US Air Force after which he worked for Salt River Project for 39 years. He graduated from ASU with a BS degree in 1986.
John leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Nancy J. (Goodman-Newman-Hoffman) Toutloff, several nieces and nephews and his puppies Joey and Muffin. An infant son, his sister Judith A. Clemons {Jackson, MI}, and step-daughter Debra Lynn Hoffman-Shatwell {Mesa, AZ} pre-deceased him.
Jack was an avid golfer and enjoyed many outdoor activities. His interest in “Fishing has no Boundaries” where he taught disabled people how to enjoy fishing and the outdoors, brought him many hours of enjoyment. He enjoyed living in Gold Canyon, AZ surrounded by the beautiful superstition mountains and the desert. He was a former member of the American Legion. Jack loved music and spent hours playing his electric guitar. He enjoyed meeting people and helping those who needed a hand up. He loved life and was grateful for his blessings. He approached life with a sense of adventure and would share his enthusiasm with family and friends. He was caring, loving and kind with an attitude that put people before things and His Lord above all. He has left a wonderful legacy. He will be missed and remembered as a shining example of unconditional kindness and love. May he rest in peace.
Services will take place on February 25th, 10:00 A.M. at St Mark’s Episcopal Church, 322N. Horne in Mesa, Arizona. Interment will take place at a later date in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Saginaw, Michigan.
