Master Gunnery Sergeant Jordan Alvin Spahn (USMC Retired) passed away November 30, 2023 at the age of 87. Jordan was born to Irwin Weller Spahn and Rose Pestana of Honolulu, Hawaii on May 21, 1936. He married the love of his life, Darlene I Skinner, in 1956 and was married for 47 years. Jordan was predeceased by his parents, his wife Darlene S. Spahn, and his siblings John and Rodney Spahn. At the time of his passing, Jordan lived in Centralia, Washington with his daughter Donna, his son-in-law Michael A. Perez and his grandson Zachariah Langhauser.
Jordan was a career Marine who served with distinction and valor his entire career. He was most defined by his deployment to Vietnam where he received a silver star and purple heart for his gallantry under fire. In retirement, he kept busy with projects ranging from restoring classic cars to helping build Darlene's prize winning garden, and garnered a reputation for his desire and ability to 'MacGyver' any problem to solution. He will be remembered for his dry humor, indomitable will and fierce patriotism.
Jordan is survived by his sister Allegra (Linda) Diaz, his children Jordan A Spahn, Jr., Donna Perez, Jonathan A. Spahn, Jordan Anthony Spahn, and his many, many grandchildren.
Jordan will be laid to rest at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery in Kaneohe, Hawaii. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
