On Monday, 18 March 2019, Joseph F. K. McMahon, loving husband and father of two went to be with God at the age of 80. He was a resident of Green Valley, AZ for the past 18 years and recently struggled with and succumbed to multiple health complications. His life's journey started 1938 in Ashtabula, OH as the fifth (and last) child to Albert and Dorothy (King) McMahon. He was blessed to have his life-long bride, Christine Harvey, join him on 27 April 1963. He served 26 years in the Air Force, to include one tour in the Vietnam conflict. He continued to serve as a civil servant for another 19 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Fred (Marilyn), daughter Connie (Tom) Costain, four awesome grandchildren, and the wonderful nieces and nephews. He enjoyed traveling and had a pragmatic outlook on life. His family and friends really admired his intellect (sage-like), sense of humor (more than just dad jokes), doing the right thing (no short cuts), and helpful disposition (others before self). Among the finest men to be called husband, father, brother, Airman, mentor, or friend, he will be missed. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to St Jude Children's Hospital.
