Joyce Kay Regehr

Joyce Kay Regehr, (Corwin), was born on February 3, 1944, in Hutchinson, Kansas. She was the beloved daughter of Glenn and Mildred Corwin and grew up with her siblings Beverly Glass, Donald Corwin, and Ronald Corwin. From a young age, Joyce displayed a warm and nurturing nature that stayed with her throughout her life.

With an infectious sense of humor, Joyce had a remarkable ability to bring smiles to the faces of those around her. Her quick wit and joyful laughter could light up any room she entered. She had an effortless way of making everyone feel comfortable in her presence—a true testament to her kind and loving spirit.

Family meant everything to Joyce. She cherished the time spent together during holidays, creating treasured memories that will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones. Her devotion to her parents, siblings, husband James Regehr, children Christine Sobba and Jamie Regehr, was unwavering. Joyce's selflessness knew no bounds; whenever someone she cared for was in need, she would go above and beyond to offer assistance.

On Sunday, December 17th, 2023, Joyce peacefully passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas—a moment witnessed by her dear husband James of 53 years. As she crossed the veil of mortality into eternity, Joyce left behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who had the honor of knowing her.

The world has lost a shining beacon of light with Joyce's departure. Her absence will be deeply felt by all those who were fortunate enough to share in her life's journey. But we find solace in knowing that her memory will live on through the cherished moments we shared with her.

In addition to leaving behind a devoted family, including surviving brother Ron Corwin, Joyce touched the lives of countless friends who were fortunate enough to call her their confidante and companion. Her kind and loving nature endeared her to everyone she encountered. Joyce truly made a difference in the lives of others.

As we say goodbye to Joyce Kay Regehr, let us celebrate the beautiful life she lived—a life that was filled with love, laughter, and selflessness. May her spirit continue to guide us, reminding us of the importance of compassion and kindness in our own lives.
