Judith Alice Poserina

Judith Alice Poserina was born December 5, 1946 to Paul and Elyse Battson in San Bernardino, California and passed away on September 13, 2024 in Woodland Hills, California.Judy was introduced to the future love of her life in 1965 in Anchorage, AK where Bill was stationed in the military and worked with her parents. Her parents loved Bill and decided to play matchmaker. Low and behold, they fell hard for each other and were married on February 19, 1966. Bill and Judy were married for over 58 years when Judy passed and had 2 beautiful children, Kara and Lisa, as well as 1 grandchild named Andrew. Throughout her life, Judy always cared for others. She ran a home daycare for over 20 years and took care of many children during that time. Everyone loved her and even a few kids kept in touch after they had grown up visiting her on holidays when they were back in their hometown. She made such a lasting and positive impact on all the kids she cared for. Her pride and joy in life was loving her family which she did better than anyone we know. Her whole life was dedicated to raising her children and grandchild that she took care of. All of us in the family felt so loved and cared for by her. Even her children’s friends looked at her as a second mom. She was active and involved in both her children’s lives from the time they were born until the time she passed. Her family was everything to her and she was everything to us! As the dementia progressed and her memory and ability to communicate was stolen from her, she always to her dying day remembered who each member of her family was. She fought the battle with Alzheimer’s for 15 years not willing to succumb to it. We have never met a stronger person and she is an inspiration to us all. She was always worried if we were ok, when in fact, we were more worried about her! That’s the kind of selfless and loving wife, mother and grandmother she was. A huge void has been left in the hearts of all of us from her passing and we miss her so much. Judy is survived by her loving husband and soulmate Bill of Newbury Park, California, her two children, Kara Meske of Simi Valley, California and Lisa Poserina of Agoura Hills, California , her grandchild Andrew Meske of Simi Valley, California, her son-in-love Chris Meske of Simi Valley, California, her brother David Battson, his wife Terri and their family of Arizona, sister in law and brother in law, Joe and Jean Poserina of New Jersey, niece, Jill Rothenberger and her husband Matt of Pennsylvania, nephew Mark Poserina of Michigan and many others whose lives she touched. We are so happy that Judy is free of pain and is in the arms of our loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We know we will be reunited with her one day in heaven and we rejoice and take comfort in that thought. A private memorial service was held for Judy back in October of 2024.
