Judnita (Judy) Level Bartlett

Judy went home to be with our Lord on November 1, 2025. Born on June 13, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas, she lived a full and courageous life marked by compassion, creativity, and resilience. A dedicated nurse for nearly fifty years, Judy cared deeply for others both in her professional life and at home. Her warmth and generosity touched countless lives over the decades. Judy had a lifelong love of animals — from the horses she rode as a child to the many dogs she welcomed into her home through the years. She was also a talented and curious creator who loved quilting, sewing, and all kinds of arts and crafts, never hesitating to try something new. A survivor of cancer four times — including once as an infant — Judy’s strength and determination were a true testament to her spirit. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Lee Holland and M.B. Holland, and by her father and stepmother, Otis and Mamie McWhorter. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Bartlett; her children Chris Noble (and his wife Amanda), Laura Noble, Johnny Smith, and Bekki Cortez (and her husband Steve); her beloved grandchildren Jessica Walker, Sadie Walker, Raven Noble, Heaton Noble, Enzo Smith, Artemis Smith, Athena Smith, Aiden Cortez, and Jacob Cortez; her great-grandson, Sylas Erixson; and her brother, Glendon McWhorter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local animal shelter or animal charity in Judy’s memory — a fitting tribute to her lifelong love of animals.
