Born in the quaint town of Williamsburg, Pennsylvania, on February 27, 1940, Judy’s journey through life was marked by compassion, dedication, and a spirit that embraced both the wild beauty of nature and the tender warmth of human connection.

A graduate of Williamsburg High School, class of 1958, Judy pursued her passion for caregiving by attending Nursing School, where she proudly earned her Registered Nursing credentials. Her career blossomed when she accepted a nursing position in Ajo, Arizona, with Phelps Dodge. This professional endeavor not only showcased her exceptional skills but also revealed her profound commitment to improving the health and well-being of those in her care. Later, she ascended to a head nursing position with the El Rio Neighborhood Centers in Tucson, demonstrating leadership and a nurturing spirit that would leave an indelible mark on her community.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Judy was a woman of manifold interests. An avid gardener, she found solace and joy in nurturing the earth, cultivating vibrant gardens that stood as a testament to her love for the outdoors. Her affection for animals was equally profound, as she embraced the companionship of furry friends with an open heart. Judy's spirit was intertwined with the natural world, as she reveled in the beauty that surrounded her.

In her personal life, Judy is survived by her devoted husband, Michael T. Odum Sr.; her beloved daughter, Jaime L. Macnab; and her cherished granddaughter, Emersyn P. Love. Their lives, enriched by her warmth and guidance, stand as a tribute to her legacy.

Judy's journey was shaped by the love and loss that is part of every human experience. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Katherine Hetrick, who instilled in her the values of kindness and perseverance. Also preceding her in death were her brother, Carl Terry Hetrick, and her daughters, Valerie Love (Wytick) and Cathy A. Larson (Wytick), each of whom she cherished deeply.
