Karen Brecto, 86, of Olympia, Washington, went home to her heavenly Father on January 22, 2020. She was born in Spokane, Washington, to Carl and Nellie Anderson. She married Floyd Brecto and shortly after they moved to the Tri-Cities where they raised their 3 children - Brenda, Debbie and Barry. She was dedicated to her children, but also found time to work most of those years as an interior decorator.
Karen was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was a very talented seamstress, providing family and friends with many clothes over the years, including wedding dresses and other beautiful outfits. She regularly played the piano and sang at church. She would do anything for those she loved. In later years she enjoyed traveling with Floyd in their motorhome and exploring the western United States.
Karen knew her eternal destiny was secure in Jesus, and the joy and love He had given her, and always shared the good news with those who crossed her path. The love that characterized her life endeared her to her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Floyd; brother, Lowell Anderson; children, Brenda Rogers, Debbie Fick, Barry Brecto; 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
The family would appreciate any memories, thoughts or condolences you want to share. They plan a private ceremony to celebrate her life.
