Karen Jean Siemund Berryhill, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born on Tuesday, December 16, 1941, in Aurora, Kane County, Il, adopted at age 5 to become the daughter of Roy Wilhelm and Crystal Leona Siemund, Karen lived a life marked by grace, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the cherished wife of Robert Tilden, with whom she shared 64 beautiful years of marriage—a testament to enduring love and partnership.

Karen’s legacy lives on through her husband, her two daughters, Lisa Renee and Dawna Jean, her sons-in-law Kyle Bradley Keone Covey and Jeremy Herdje, and daughter-in-law Mary Berryhill, each of whose love and care meant so much to Karen.

She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren—Krystal Lynn, Robert Peyton, Amber Leigh, John Stewart, Rebecca Nell, Kendall Jean, Sam Donald, and Brynn Katherine and their families, and a joyful great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.

Karen is reunited in eternal peace with her son, Robert Jon Berryhill, whose memory she held close to her heart.

Her life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her gentle kindness, her unwavering support, sense of humor, and the deep connections she nurtured with everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Karen possessed extraordinary artistic abilities that brought beauty and joy into the lives of everyone around her. Holding accreditations in multiple fields, her immense creativity was a true reflection of her vibrant, thoughtful spirit and tireless pursuit of excellence. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Karen lived her faith through service, compassion, and grace. She also had a stunningly beautiful, angelic voice that filled hearts with warmth and wonder. Whether singing with family—where each tried to out sing her; her amazing voice always rose above, effortlessly and joyfully winning every time.

Karen loved doing things for friends, family, and anyone in need—her generosity truly knew no bounds. Whether it was offering thoughtful gifts, sharing heartfelt hugs, or spending quiet moments talking with her son-in-law, daughters, or grandchildren, she gave of herself freely and fully. Her beloved dogs, whom she affectionately treated as the kings and queens of the house, were a testament to her nurturing spirit.

Karen always lived by the principle of doing unto others. Her compassion and generosity were boundless, touching the lives of everyone around her. No matter how tired she was, Karen would prepare gourmet meals for family and friends, even with little notice; Each meal was not only delicious but truly unforgettable. Each dish was crafted with love and care, a reflection of her devotion and the joy she found in bringing people together around her table, to eat and share a laugh.
