Kathleen Susan Bolton passed quietly, and peacefully, at her home on January 22, 2026. She was next to her husband, Jeffrey, who had cared for her.
Kathleen was born on September 30, 1954 in Fairbanks, Alaska to Richard, and Jean (Reed) Spangenberg. She married her husband Jeffrey on March 20, 2009 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and then moved to Michigan for 10 years. Kathleen and Jeff moved to Arizona in January 2019. Kathleen had two sons from a previous marriage, Jacob Gerhard, born Sept 30, 1984, and Kristopher Gerhard, born Oct 23, 1987. She had one granddaughter, Skylar Gerhard born in 2007.
Kathleen is survived by three sisters and a brother, Debbie (Gary) Johnson, Julianne (James) Blumhardt, Sharon (Jason) Dabareiner, and Richard (Dana) Spangenberg.
Kathleen loved Jesus, and enjoyed serving her church, Zion City Santa Cruz, as a natural greeter. Her smile was contagious and inviting, welcoming members and newcomers alike. Kathleen never met a stranger whether she was walking around her community, or through a local grocery store. Kathleen was accomplished in many respects, having worked as a dental hygienist for over 40 years in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and then completing a Bachelor's Degree in adult education, and teaching dental hygiene at a local community college. After marrying Jeff, and moving to Michigan, she helped operate, and expand his chiropractic practice, due to her extensive practice management experience.
A Memorial Celebration will be held on Saturday, February 7th at Zion City Santa Cruz, located at 1775 W. Ajo Way, Tucson, Arizona 85746. The time is yet to be determined.
