Kenneth J. Shelly

Kenneth J. Shelly, age 87, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, in Longwood, Florida.

Ken was born on August 9, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, where he spent his early years before retiring from Ford Moter Company after 32 years. After retiring from Ford he and his wife Ann lived out their dream of living on a sail boat for the next 5 years before making Florida their home. Ken was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and will be remembered for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and quiet generosity.

Throughout his life, Ken valued family, loyalty, and showing up for the people he loved. Those who knew him appreciated his wisdom, gentle humor, and the way he made others feel welcome and supported. He especially enjoyed spending time with family, sailing and walking his faithful 4 legged friend JoJo. These were the passions that brought him joy and peace and will be fondly remembered by those who shared them with him.

Ken is survived by his beloved wife Ann, his children Keith, Danielle, Will, and Stacy, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Joe and Gertrude Shelly, brother Donald Shelly, sister Geraldine Wojcik and his youngest son Matthew Scott Shelly.

Ken will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be honored with a Celebration of Life at Cascade Heights in Longwood Florida on February 21st at 2:00 PM.
