Kenneth Lee West

Ken was the beloved husband of Gwen for 43 years, the father of Christopher, David, and Daniel, the father-in-law of Sibyl and Kelly, the grandfather of Wren and Rowan, the brother-in-law of Gwen's siblings, Janie (husband Ben), Jay (wife Barb), and Lynn (husband Kevin), and the uncle to their children. He treasured being with his family whenever possible and watching Wren and Rowan grow. He always tried to do whatever he could to help Gwen and his children have happy, secure lives.

He retired in 2008 from the Federal Government after 40 years of service, most of it in Ohio. Ken loved daily walks in Ohio and then in Arizona when we moved here in 2016, hiking, visiting national parks, painting, music (especially songs written and performed by his 3 sons), movies, and watching his favorite shows on television and Netflix. We have his original paintings and treasure them. He always had a passion for cars, and in his younger years, he raced in many autocross events in Ohio and won trophies for his skills.

Our loss is immense, but our hearts will forever be filled with love for him. Our memories of him will always be precious to us. We are comforted knowing that Ken is in Heaven. We do not need any flowers or gifts of any kind sent to us, but we are deeply grateful for your prayers for Ken and us.
