Kurt , a devoted father, grandfather, son, and brother, was born on December 28, 1961, in California. He departed this world on January 23, 2025, after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer this last October, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will resonate through the hearts of those he touched.
Raised in the warm sunshine of California, Kurt embraced life with an adventurous spirit. He was not only a skilled craftsman known for his ability to fix and build almost anything, but also a caring father, who cherished his early morning calls with his daughter, Bry. Those moments encapsulated their bond, fostering laughter, love, and a shared understanding that transcended the daily grind of work. His commitment to his family was unwavering, as he proudly watched his grandchildren, Logan and Abby, grow and flourish, always ready to offer guidance and support.
Kurt found joy in the simple things – whether it was casting a line during a fishing trip or feeling the rush of wind against him as he rode his beloved rat razor. He embraced life's pleasures with vigorous enthusiasm, often spending weekends surrounded by friends in the desert or by the lake, celebrating life’s little victories and seeking new adventures.
He is survived by his loving daughter Bry, his son-in-law Austin, and his cherished grandchildren, Logan and Abby. Kurt also leaves behind his mother, Gerda Lowe, and brother Eric Lowe, along with his stepmother, Diane Lowe. Each of them carries a part of Kurt's bright spirit within them, a testament to the bonds that he nurtured throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lowe, whose memory will forever remain part of Kurt's story.
Kurt's life will be honored with a Celebration of Life at Gloria's Mexican Restaurant on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at 11 a.m., located at 7027 California City Blvd, California City, CA 93505. Following the celebration, a desert ride will take place to spread his ashes, concluding at his favorite bar, "The Joint," in Randsburg, CA – a final toast to a life well-lived.
