It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Larry Lee Jarman of Fontana, California on February 17th, 2026. Larry was born on April 10,1948 in Lennox, California. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Harry L. Jarman Jr. and Virginia Anna Jarman (Bitter), Uncle Ray (JR) Yracebura, Aunt Bertha Yracebura (Bitter). He is survived by his loving wife Peggy Ann Jarman (Pfohman)sons Brian Pfohman, Kevin Pfohman, Grandson Dylan Pfohman, cousins Josette Williams (Bitter), Rod Yracebura and wife Barbara, Brother-in law Reuben Felstiner and nephews, Henry Felstiner and George Felstiner along with several in-laws in New York and Canada.

Larry graduated from Venice High School in Los Angeles, California in1966. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam from 1967 to 1972. He spent most of his time serving on the Island of Guam at the Naval Command Station as a CT3 Communication Technician and then transitioned to the Reserves. Following his time serving our country he was employed at RTD as a bus driver and later progressed to light-rail train operator at Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority until his retirement in August 2018. Larry had a big heart and believed in giving back. He volunteered with Peggy at Operation Community Cares sending care packages to our deployed men and women in the military.

Larry loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed bowling during his earlier years, and he also enjoyed traveling, taking road trips and weekend get-aways. He loved cars, especially his Corvette. Larry and Peggy joined Pomona Valley Corvette Association in 2010. He enjoyed Wednesday morning breakfasts with the club guys. Together he and Peggy took many road trips with the club. He also enjoyed corvette times with his grandson, going to car shows or just taking drives together. He loved NASCAR and NHRA and going to the races. His last race was on his Bucket List-Daytona 500 and he was able to go with his son Brian on 2/15/26. When he was not on the run Larry enjoyed relaxing in his backyard with music and friends, enjoying BBQ’s, the birds, butterflies, gardens, lizards and his waterfall. He mostly cherished annual anniversary trips to Cambria with Peggy. He loved life.

St. Jude’s, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Wounded Warrior, or Tunnels to Towers.

Service with Military Honors will be held on April 10th at 9:30 am at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at The Orangecrest Club,1175 E Alessandro Blvd, Riverside, CA from 11:00-2:00.
