Lawrence Whalen Greer, Age 76, A proud member of the Osage Nation, Affectionately known as Larry, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 25th with his wife by his side.

Larry leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family. Larry was the loving husband of Sylvia Deane Greer for 56 years. He is also survived by his two daughters, Alice Richter and Susan Laird; his son David Greer and his wife Alica. Along with his four Grandchildren, Emily, Hunter, Chance, and Erik. He also leaves behind a sister, Leslie Jones of El Paso, Texas. He is also survived by his five nephews William, Richard, Morgan, Kenny, and Steve and a niece Virginia Ann.

Larry was a dedicated Scout Master for many years. Larry had a passion for helping to develop the very best in todays youth. He took the values harnessed in the Scouting program and put them to work as a Scoutmaster. Larry was a believer in young peoples potential. He approached everyone as a good friend. He took pride in his work and encouraged the youth to leave the World a better place than they found it.

Larry was an amazing man. He was a hero, a role model, a mentor, a friend, and a father figure to many. We will forever remember Larry as one of the most positive and supportive influences in our lives. Larry may have left us physically, but we will never be truly be with out him because Larry has left his imprint on everyone's heart who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 5th, 2023 at West Oaks Fellowship, 14440 Richmond Ave 77082 at 6pm. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Bellaire West Community Center, 11511 Rowan Ln Houston, Tx 77072

To honor Larry, the family is asking you to wear flowers or floral print to the Celebration of Life in honor of his legacy.
