Leona Mae Pauly, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, at the age of 63, in Tenino, Washington. Born on May 15, 1962, Leona was a force of nature, known for her vibrant personality and unwavering love for her family.
Leona spent her early years growing up in Southern California and also resided for a time in Arizona before making Washington her longtime home. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often immersing herself in the pages of a good book or the melodies of her favorite music.
Stubborn, strong, and a true rebel at heart, Leona lived life on her own terms. Yet, beneath her feisty exterior was a deeply loving individual who always had an open door and a listening ear for those who needed her. She was fiercely proud of her children and grandchildren, considering them her greatest accomplishments. While her "attitude" was certainly memorable, it was always balanced by her profound loyalty and readiness to be there for anyone in her life.
Leona is survived by her children, Shawnte Flores, Chase Flores, and Victor Arndt; and her cherished grandchildren, Chase Flores Jr., Isabella Flores, Savannah Flores, Ciara Flores, and Oliver Arndt. She also leaves behind her sister, Vicki Kyle, and her nephews, Andrew Pauly and Matthew Kyle, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Leona's legacy of love, strength, and unwavering support will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
