Leonor Lagos Anderson

It is with great sadness that the family of Leonor Anderson announces the passing of Leonor. She passed away on January 9, 2025, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, at the young age of 77. Leonor was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to many. She had a special connection with people and everyone who met her instantly loved her. 

Leonor was born on March 11, 1947, in Santiago, Chile. In the early 1970’s, Leonor came to Glendale, California where she met the love of her life, Tom. The two just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Together they raised three children, Thomas Anderson, Leticia Maria Anderson-Hurtado (Jesse Hurtado) and Kathleen Leonor Anderson-De La Garza (Gilbert De La Garza). 

Leonor is survived by her cherished husband, Tom, her three children, five grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandson with another great-grandson on the way.

On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. a Celebration of Life for Leonor will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 500 S. Louise Street, Glendale, California 91205. There will be a reception immediately following the Celebration of Life.
