Lew Weiler Pratsch

  It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lew Weiler Pratsch on December 1, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born in Lorain, OH and preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Irene (Weiler) Pratsch. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Geraldine (Gerry) and two sons: Craig (Laura) and Eric (Callie). Also, survived by two sisters Jane Herrmann (Harry) and Mary Lynn Schneider (Robert), nieces and nephew.

  His 41-year career was with the US Departments of Transportation and Energy. Lew was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of the Ridesharing Institute Board. He was President and owner of Transportation Total Inc., a vanpool ridesharing company. He built his getaway homes in Lake Anna, VA and Bayfield, CO. Lew enjoyed life whether being with his family and friends, or his passions of reading, biking, home projects and anything involving the great outdoors. He taught water skiing and snow skiing to all newcomers. He was active in Boy Scouts and proud of both sons achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

  Services will be held in Sun City West, AZ (February) and Bayfield, CO (May).
