Lois Audrey Hansen

Lois Audrey Hansen, born in Seattle Washington May 15, 1927 to Gordon and Ida Bond Jensen, peacefully passed away December 7, 2020. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Jack Hansen, siblings Gordon Jensen Jr., Jack Jensen, and Carmen Klenz. Jack and Lois were married December 12, 1953 and together built a life and raised a family that revolved around the commercial fishing industry in Washington and Alaska. Lois worked for the North Pacific Fishing Vessel Owners Association, served on the original Seattle Fishermen's Memorial committee and with Jack cofounded Salmon Bay Boatyard at Fishermen's Terminal. The boatyard provided haul out services with a travel lift and all the amenities for wooden boat repairs. Their slogan was Bottoms Up! They had many years together of close family, good friends, music and dancing. Lois loved cooking, especially holiday meals. They retired to Whidbey Island to be close to family. Lois is survived by her daughters Lorraine Hansen, Christine Hansen, Jacque Baldwin, son Steve Zuvela, and her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special gratitude is extended to Lois's loving caregivers and hospice staff. Donations can be made to the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial.
