Ranae was born November 29, 1936, in Ogden, Utah to Alta Irenda Roberts and John Alonzo Nibarger. She was raised in Mountain View, Wyoming and was the oldest daughter of 14 children. She had many varied interests and had degrees in business, interior design, and a PhD in Psychology.

Ranae is the founder of Rapid Eye Technology and owned and operated The Rapid Eye Institute, a Certified Career School. Earlier in her life she ran a Montessori Pre-School. Rapid Eye was the result of a mother’s desperate attempt to find something to help her autistic son Kelton. She wrote two books, WINTER’S FLOWER about her son Kelton; and RECLAIM YOUR LIGHT THROUGH THE MIRACLE OF RAPID EYE TECHNOLOGY.

Ranae has six children and one stepdaughter. Sharlene Young, Vern Steele, Lynell Beckstrom, Kelton Steele—all of Salem, Oregon with Allen Steele of Provo, Utah and Mark Steele of Athol, Idaho and Robyn Johnson of Vancouver, Washington. Ranae has many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Ranae is greatly loved by her family and the many Rapid Eye Technicians throughout the world. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Family Property, 3748 74th Ave SE, Salem, Oregon 97317 on Saturday April 25th at NOON. Everyone is invited and everyone is welcome!
