Loren Edward Kiesel, 88, died in Puyallup, Washington, on May 5, 2018, surrounded by his children and his loving partner of 45 years Jan Sullivan.
Loren was born in Tacoma, Washington, on May 22, 1929, to Edward Kiesel and Jennie Roller Kiesel. He was one of 11 children. Loren lived most of his life in Tacoma. He served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and had a passion for sky diving.
He was married to Leta Poppino Kiesel for 25 years and together they had 5 children (Ted Kiesel, deceased, Sharon Rawlings, Steve Kiesel, Bret Kiesel and Cheryl White).
He spent the past 45 years with his partner Jan Sullivan and her sons (Jim Budnick; Jerry Sullivan; and Bob Sullivan, deceased). Together they enjoyed golfing, dancing, and a nightly game of cards.
Loren had 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
At his request, no services will take place. The family wishes to thank his numerous physicians, the medical and nursing staff at MultiCare Tacoma General and MultiCare Good Samaritan for their care and support during his final days.
