LOREN W. STAMMBorn 17 August 1930 and passed away 08 November 2011. Oldest son of Herman and Edna Stamm of ConcordiaPreceded in death by 1st wife Shirley A. Stamm (1996). Children: Karen (Lee) Crowley of Grants Pass, Ore., Sharon,Mark, Michael, (Birgit), Linda, and Steve. 2nd wife Wanda K. and step-son Loren Inderbitzen, 7 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson, all of Seattle, Washington area. Brothers Larry and Max of Sacramento, Ca. and sister Adda LouDavis of Cameron Park, Ca..Graduated from CHS in 1948, attended 2 yrs. of College at Emporia State College, taught 1 yr. in a rural Kansas country school. Joined the U.S. Naval Reserves at Naval Air Station in Olathe, Kansas in 1949. Went on active duty in 1952 and retired in 1974 as a Senior Aviation Chief Petty Officer. Vietnam War aboard the USS Ranger.After retirement, he worked a variety of jobs and was hired by Boeing of Seattle for 10 years and earned a second retirement. VFW Post Commander, member of the Eagles Lodge, and spent several years as a driver for disabled veterans. He fought a battle with cancer and may he now rest in peace.Request any remembrances be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project or to a charity of your choice. He will be laid to restIn the Saint Paul Cemetery near Washington, Kansas. Arrangements under the direction of Smart Cremation, Redmond, WA.
