Lydia ( Eileen ) Elizabeth Ross was born on September 8, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan and passed peacefully on April 22, 2016 at her home in San Francisco, California. " With God All Things Are Possible", Our beloved Aunt Lydia was the youngest child of five children born to Carl A. Ross and Helen Ziolkowski (Ross). Lydia was predeceased by her Parents, Four Siblings; Ruth Ross, Mabel Ross McKelvey, Gerald C. Ross Sr., Marvin A. Ross, and two nephews; Dennis J. McKelvey ( Judy Ann) and Gerald C. Ross Jr. (Linda).
Lydia is survived by her two Children, daughter Pamela LaVigne, son Tony LaVigne, grandson Carter Lavigne and several Nieces and Nephews, The Mabel Ross and Eugene McKelvey Family: Mary McKelvey, Kathleen Lehane (Daniel), Carol Culliton (Michael), Michael C. McKelvey, Catherine Rymanowicz (Carl), The Gerald and Clara Ross Family: Helen Ross, (Robert) Frances P. Ross, Maria R. Warr (John), Gloria Rocco (Richard), The Marvin A. Ross Family, and several great, great-great, and great-great-great nibblings.
Early on, Lydia lived in Detroit and worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Utility Conpanies in Detroit and later for The Pacific Gas and Electric Co. in San Franciso, CA. Lydia loved her family and friends. She was an avid traveler in the United States and Abroad. She was active in her communities with the Benevolent Order of The Elks in San Francisco and the Historic St. Joseph Catholic Church in Detroit, MI. A graduate of St. Elizabeth Catholic High School in Detroit, Lydia was faithful, honest, humble, loving, kind, and a generous woman. She was always loving and always loved, she will be greatly missed. Lydia believed "With God, All Things Are Possible".
Donations may be made to the Saint Joseph Oratory, Institute of Christ the King ( formerly Historic Saint Joseph Church ) at 1828 Jay Street, Detroit, MI, 48207. A Service, will be held Saturday April 21, 2018 at 11:00am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 25800 West Ten Mile Road, Southfield, MI, 48033. Please check this site for updates.
