Margaret Rogers

Margaret F. Rogers, 78, Born to Serefino Rivera and Felicites Lopez on July 25, 1938 in San Francisco, CA. Margaret passed peacefully and in the comfort of her own home during the early morning hours of January 20, 2017. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Richard E. Rogers, her 2 sisters and 4 brothers. Although there were no children by their marriage, together they raised 7 sons who then blessed them with 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her son Manuel. Margaret, affectionately known as "Gramma" worked as a domestic violence advocate in California for 10 years. Described as "the keystone of their support system," the lives she touched span across San Mateo County California. During her career as Director of The Resource Center in Pacifica (1975-1985), she concurrently served 9 years as commissioner of the San Mateo County Human Relations Division. Her heart knew no boundries and her legacy has left an eternal light in the hearts of those she loved.
