Marie was born February 1, 1944 in Wenatchee, Washington and passed away July 29, 2026 in Puyallup, Washington. Marie leaves behind a life marked by Christ-like love, gentleness and humor. Marie was the fourth child born to Melchior and Anna Roediger. She graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1962 and shortly thereafter attended beauty school to become a hairdresser. Marie married the love of her life Duane "Paul" Wilson June 13, 1964. Marie worked as a hairdresser for a handful of years. Paul and Marie went on to have three children: Michael, Douglas and Karen. After her children were born, Marie chose to stay home to raise them. With Paul's Air Force career, the Wilsons lived in several places including Illinois, Alaska, New Jersey, Louisiana and Clark Air Base Philippines before settling in Spanaway, Washington in 1985. When her children were older, Marie worked on a part time basis with the elderly and then in telemarketing. She stopped working in the early 2000s. Paul and Marie enjoyed traveling to the east coast to visit their daughter Karen and family and son Doug and his wife. They also loved to spend time in Pacific Beach, Washington.

Marie was kind and compassionate with an amazing sense of humor. She told the best stories that would have everyone around her in stitches. She adored her family and loved to laugh. She was always a dog lover and spoiled the sweet dachshunds they have owned and spoiled her grandchildren even more. Most importantly, Marie loved Jesus and gave her heart to Him in the mid 70s. She believed strongly in the power of prayer and read her Bible regularly. She strived to live like Christ and taught her children to do the same. One of her favorite verses was Romans 8:28.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Margaret, her brothers John and Jerry and granddaughter Meagan. She is survived by her husband Paul Wilson of Spanaway, her son Michael of Tacoma, her son Douglas (Dawn) of Massachusetts, daughter Karen (David) Shartzer of New Jersey and grandchildren Jonah and Adriana, also of New Jersey. She is also survived by her brother Larry (Jan) Roediger, sisters in law Barbara Rutherford, Mary (Burke) Crossley and Patty (Mark) Johnson.
