Marsha May Roach

Marsha May Roach Roach, age 82, passed away at her residence in Salem, Oregon on Friday, August 11, 2023,

She was born November 25, 1940, to the late Marshall Neal Roach and Ethel May Byrnes Roach in Phoenix, Arizona.

She held a BA in sociology, and almost a Masters in archaeology.  She attended Wayne State University and Arizona State University. She had been married to Todd Smith and then to Francisco Robles. She worked for Best Western International for over 30 years.

She was a professional archaeologist and statistician. She was an avid birder and excellent photographer. She enjoyed working with her friends especially baking and also crocheting. She enjoyed traveling and learned 3 languages. She loved reading and jigsaw puzzles. She loved cats, she had cats her entire life. 

She is survived by her brother Wesley Wayne Roach and his wife of 70 years Rubye Maurine Roberts Roach. Also, by her cousin LaVelle Van Hook as well as 10 nieces and 2 nephews and their children.

Internment of her ashes will be done on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 10 :30 am at  Greenwood Memory Lawn  2300 W Van Buren, Phoenix, AZ 

Celebration of Marsha’s life will be held afterwards at 2707 S College Ave Tempe AZ at 11:30am also Saturday October 7, 2023.
