Mary Dianne Dwiggins

On August 21, 2026, my sweetheart, Mary Dianne Dwiggins - a true daughter of the King - was called home into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This sweet warrior was called to battle many are not asked to walk. For many years, 13, she courageously fought an enemy in her body called cancer. But this was never about losing a battle; it was simply her time to go home.

“You have decided the length of our lives, You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer.’- Job 14:5”

Her favorite color was red and I adored her beautiful brown eyes, the way she listened and encouraged me, her laughter was real and inviting. Her ‘I love you’s’ were endless. Either of her two boys, Tucker or Buddy was up on her lap. She thoroughly enjoyed working in the yard planting and caring for her plants. The lawnmower was ‘hers’ which was one of her favorite activities. She was unselfish and always had a cheerful attitude. What amazed so many people was the fact that she never complained throughout her 13 years of chemo therapy, NEVER how the cancer was slowly robbing her of life. An amazing woman no doubt. An unwavering trust in God throughout every trial left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Charles Dwiggins; her sister, Valerie Delaney; her daughter, Jill Philpot (James); her grandson Tommy Newman (Melody); and her great granddaughter, Harper Newman. She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Vance; her father, Eugene Vance; and her three brothers, Eugene Jr.; Larry; and Fred Vance.

Her ashes, along with her husband’s (when I pass), including our other 2 boys, Chaz and Riley, who have been waiting will be spread at ‘the Ranch’ outside of Columbia, S.C.

She fought a courageous battle and now has won her prize. She is in the arms of our Lord, forever and ever.
