Mary Hilins, aged 90, passed away on July 28, 2024, in Melbourne, Florida. A devoted attendee of Advent Lutheran Church, Mary was known as God’s faithful servant. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, doting grandmother, and great-grandmother, cherished for her kindness and active involvement in her community. Mary dedicated much of her time to volunteering and was an avid dog lover. Her hobbies included water aerobics, playing cards, and gardening, activities that kept her engaged with friends and family around town.
She is survived by her son, James Hilins; daughter, Joyce Hilins; six grandchildren, Jennifer Henderson, Katie Clark, Devin Campbell, Andrew Hilins, David Borough, Jr., and Brennah Borough; and five great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hilins, Jr.; daughter, Janet Fabian; and grandson, John Fabian.
Two memorial services will honor Mary's life. The first will be held at Advent Lutheran Church, 7550 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32940, on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 1 PM, followed by a small reception. The second will be on September 7, 2024, at 11Am a cremation burial at Stafford Memorial Park, 154 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA 22554, accompanied by a small luncheon.
