Mary Louise White

Mary Louise White, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, gained her wings on January 31, 2024, at the age of 64 in Palm Springs, CA. She peacefully left this world after a long battle with a chronic respiratory illness. She was born on December 6, 1959, in Riverside, CA to Oliver and Joyce White. Mary's infectious laughter and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Her career spanned various fields and showcased her passion for education and helping others. Mary worked as a substitute teacher, touching the lives of K-12th grade students. Her commitment to spreading knowledge extended beyond the classroom as she also taught classes at the local college and prison. In addition to her teaching endeavors, Mary found fulfillment in property management. She managed apartments and supervised other complexes with grace and professionalism.

Mary's educational journey was a testament to her commitment to personal growth. She graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1978, and in 1990, she earned her associate's degree in education at Palo Verde College. It was during these years that Mary developed her passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.

Outside of her professional life, Mary found immense joy in spending time with her family. Her grandkids were truly the pride and joy of her life. She cherished every moment with them and made unforgettable memories that will be treasured forever. With a Diet Pepsi in hand, Mary would always crack jokes and bring smiles to everyone's faces.

Mary was an extraordinary woman whose kindness and compassion knew no bounds. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her infectious laughter and warm smile brightened the lives of those around her. Mary had a zest for life and embraced her passions wholeheartedly. She could often be found cheering for her Denver Broncos football team or listening to her favorite singer Taylor Swift.

Mary is survived by her loving daughters, Sherry Dunagan, Amy Hanna (Steven), and Lauren Fontes (Isaac). She adored her precious grandchildren, Sierrian Stayner, Brendan Navarro, Ethan Hanna, Christian Navarro, and Corbin Hanna. She is also survived by four siblings, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mary's "granddoggies" Lucy and Luke were always by her side with tails wagging, providing comfort and unconditional love.

Mary was preceded to death by her parents Oliver and Joyce White, son-in-law Fernando Navarro Jr. and beloved dog Buttercup.
