Max Joseph Knisely, born on July 17,1945, in Eloise, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a man who embraced life with a vibrant sense of humor and a knack for good-natured teasing that brought joy to all who knew him.
Max cherished the beauty of the outdoors, dedicating countless hours to his favorite pastimes, which included playing golf and skiing. His love for adventure extended to his family, as he delighted in creating memories by taking his grandchildren on trips when they were young. His joyful spirit and infectious laughter will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of sharing in those moments.
He is survived by his loving family: his beloved children, Kristen Kenneday and her husband Bill, Kevin Knisely and his wife Gemie, Heather Avery and her husband Carlas;his cherished grandchildren, Ellie Bourne, David Bourne,Tyler Avery, Grant Knisely, and Grace Knisely. Max is also survived by his sisters, Maryjean Haden, Connie Benson, and Sue Burdick, who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Max now joins his beloved wife, Marian Knisely, who preceded him in death, along with his parents, Harry and Mary Knisely, and his siblings, Kay Vitko, Betty Cody, Ron Knisely, Leo Knisely, and Maxine Kelly. His legacy is a testament to the love and joy he shared with his family and friends throughout his life.
He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the laughter and memories built with those he held dear.
