Maxine Beck Hillman

Maxine Beck Hillman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, in Everson, Washington, at the age of 87. She was born on May 10, 1937, in Pocatello, Idaho, and grew up in Shelly, Idaho. She spent many hours honing her work ethic and spending time with her loving father, Edwin Beck, working on the farm.
Maxine dedicated her life to faith, family, and service. In 1960, she embarked on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Great Lakes Mission, a time she cherished deeply. Upon returning home, she met her soulmate, Ray Hillman, and the two were married on September 14, 1962, beginning a lifetime of love and devotion together.
Maxine’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to her nine children—Keith, Becky, Shaunna, Sally, Jodi, Amy, Scott, Aaron, and Christal—each of whom carries on her legacy of love and kindness. She was also a cherished grandmother to 26 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who will always remember her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support.
Maxine’s devotion to her family and community was unwavering, and she continually inspired those around her with her kindness and strength. She will be remembered for her kind heart, strong faith, and the love she generously shared with everyone around her. Her impact on her family and community will continue to be felt for generations to come.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Maxine’s life on Saturday, March 15th, at 11:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 503 Everson Rd. Everson, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund in honor of Maxine’s lifelong dedication to serving others.
