Michael Curtis Ashcroft

Michael Curtis Ashcroft, known to friends and family as Mike, was born on 2/17/58 in Point Pleasant, NJ and passed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on 11/8/25.

He lived in NJ until age 8, moved to NM until his Junior year in HS and graduated from Durango HS in CO. He went to Adams State College in Alamosa CO. Moved a few more times and finally made his home in AZ for last 42 years.

He had a long career in Auto Sales & Finance in and around Phoenix AZ. He truly loved his job because he was able to help so many people with integrity that was an ingrained part of his character. He received numerous awards along the way and made many friends.

He enjoyed sports, college level and professional. He had a passion for horses, sharing stories of competing in many Gymkhanas and rodeo events in his youth. He and his dad shared this passion through horse racing. Breeders Cup and Derby Day were on our calendars every year.

He was always up for fishing and spending time outdoors.

His ultimate passion was drumming and music. He would drum along with the music in the car. He always kept time and would say when something was off tempo. We would listen to music together and he would tell me who the drummer and other members of the band were along with some trivia about them. His memory for song lyrics was amazing. He used his musical talent & gift for drumming to play at our church for many years. He enjoyed volunteering his time so you may have seen him playing drums at a few other churches around the valley too.

His family was very important to him. He is survived by his wife, Regina, children and grandchildren: son Michael Jr, daughter Jennifer (her children: Alyssa and Austin), Jeffrey Hunt (his wife, Jessica and their children: Jack, Warren and Emerson) and Kaitlan Hunt. Also, his sister, Sharon, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

His kindness, generosity, sense of humor and polite manner touched everyone that knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A service will be announced at a later date.
