Michael William Carrillo

On Saturday, April 10, 2021, loving husband, father, and grandfather, Michael William Carrillo, passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 77. He was born in Los Angeles on January 25, 1944 in Chavez Ravine, where he lived with his mother, brother, and cousins on Bishop Road. In 1962, Michael graduated from Cathedral High School and began his life-long career working for the U.S. Post Office as a letter carrier for the East L.A. branch. On January 16, 1965, Michael married his high school sweetheart, Mary Helen, and they raised two children, David and Stephanie. Known for his easy-going demeanor and infectious smile, Michael was beloved by the residents on his postal route and the congregants of Legacy Church Fellowship, where Michael served as a greeter. Michael is survived by his wife Mary Helen, his children David and Stephane, and his granddaughters Alessandra, Haile, and Nadia.
