In Fond Memory of Michael Graf

Mike will be remembered for his resilience, warm spirit, and positive attitude

Michael "Mike" Graf was born on March 19, 1945, in Michigan. He grew up with two sisters, one of whom now lives in Michigan and the other in California. Mike passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 81.

In his later years, Mike faced several serious health challenges, including congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Despite these difficulties, he remained cheerful and maintained a positive outlook on life. He was predeceased by his partner, Linda Skinner.

Mike enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. After a stint in the Navy, he spent several years working as a long-distance truck driver, driving from one end of the country to the other. Later, he and Linda traveled extensively throughout the American West in their RV, creating many cherished memories together.

Mike had a variety of hobbies and enjoyed being active in his community. His friendly, convivial nature drew people together. For a couple years, he volunteered as a Bingo caller at Carlsbad Village Senior Living, where his deep, booming voice made him the perfect master of ceremonies. He also spent time video gaming, creating artwork with colored pencils, and collecting memorabilia.

During the final months of his life, Mike lived in a board-and-care home in Oceanside, California, where he was surrounded by compassionate and supportive caregivers.

Mike will be remembered for his resilience, warm spirit, and positive attitude. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seaport Hospice or DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
