Michael Dennis Spangler

Michael D. Spangler was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 3rd 1952 to R. Lee Spangler and Muriel (Dillon) Spangler. He passed away unexpectedly at Scripps Mercy Hospital on December 14th 2020.
Michael began his Air force career at Lackland Air Force Base in April of 1978, at the age of 26. He was an Honor Graduate of Basic Training and retired in May of 2011 with the rank of Senior Master Sargent. Michael served as a loadmaster for several years and completed many logistic tours during his 31 years of Military Service to his Country.
While serving in the military he met Ann Imlay in Panama and they married. They had one son, Johnathan Michael Spangler. After Ann's untimely death Michael met and married Aida Del Carmen Rojas Llave. They had one daughter, Aida Michelle Spangler. Johnathan and Aida Michelle were the apples of Michael's eyes!
Michael is survived by his wife Aida, son Johnathan, daughter, Aida Michelle. Brothers, Lee (Carol) Spangler, and Mark Spangler. He was preceded in death by his Father, R. Lee Spangler and Mother, Muriel (Dillon) Spangler.
Michael had a heart of gold. He had seen the sufferings of people and it touched his heart. Michael gave to many charities and had a hard time saying no. Even if just $5, Michael would always give something.
Michael was a spiritual man and was always looking to grow spiritually. He was offended by the inhumanity of man to those weaker. He found peace of soul with his family, fellowship with the men's group of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and the services.

Military Memorial Services will be held at Miramar National Cemetery on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 10:00 am (PST). In person services are by invitation only. Video live streaming will be on Michael Spangler's or Aida Spangler's FaceBook.
