Monica Flockhart-Brodie, age 51, died on June 26, 2013 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center of end-stage liver disease, while awaiting a liver transplant. She is survived by her husband, Michael A. (Tony) Brodie of Irvine, CA, her sisters, Particia Pererka Capeloto of Rancho Palos Verdes and Vivian Flockart Zampetti of Anaheim Hills, CA, her uncle, Jack Duffy of Glasgow, Scotland and her nieces, Kathyrn Peterka, Shannon Peterka and Jennifer Capeloto and her nephew, Chris Peterka.
Monica was born on May 14, 1962 in Glasgow Scotland to the late James and Maureen Flockhart.
She was graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a B.A. degree in 1984 and from Southwestern University Scholl of Law with a J.D. degree in 1987.

She and her husband, Tony, opened the Law Offices of Brodie and Flockhart in 2004 in Irvine, CA, where they specialized in plaintiff’s medical malpractice litigation.

She volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA where she gave out communion to patients and was in numerous ministries at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.

Monica will always be remembered for her loving kindness and generosity, her ready smile and bright blue eyes. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Funeral Mass will be held on July 30, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 9 Hillgate, Irvine, CA. Reception to follow in church hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Monica’s name to the American Liver Foundation.
