Nancy Ellen Montanelli (Halloran) passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning July 11, 2021, at the age of 77 years old. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.
Nancy was born in Los Angeles, California on March 24, 1944, as the daughter of Frank and Margaret Halloran and the younger sister of Barbara Brockman (Halloran). While in high school, Nancy met her husband Joseph Montanelli whom she was married to for almost 56 years and who was at her side when she passed.
Joseph and Nancy, after being married, settled down in Southern California where they raised their children Vincent Montanelli and Gina Cronkite (Montanelli). The four of them spent many wonderful times together as a family which included regular visits to Arizona where Nancy's father, mother, and sister lived as well as Duane Brockman (her brother-in-law), Craig Blome, Mark Blome and John Blome (her nephews) and Michael Brockman (her step-nephew). As time passed, Nancy's family grew to include Sean Cronkite (her son-in-law) and Joseph Cronkite (her grandson) whom she spent much time with and cherished immensely.
Services for Nancy will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at St Kilian Catholic Church, 26872 Estanciero Drive, Mission Viejo, CA, 92691, beginning with a rosary at 9:30am, mass at 10am and a reception following mass at the parish hall.
