Naomi Michel Marco Manelis

Naomi passed away peacefully on October 25,2024 in California with her husband and daughter by her side.

Naomi was born on September 13, 1947, in Yreka, California, to her parents Ferdinand Casson and Amelia (Melin) Casson. She spent most of her years in California: Sacramento, Davis, Winters, and Chula Vista, and later Round Rock, Texas. She obtained a nursing degree and practiced as an RN in many settings and eventually was instrumental in establishing home IV programs for several entities and also authored a chapter in a book on the subject. She devoted her professional career to patient advocacy. She graduated with honors from the University of California at Davis with a degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences in 1982 and was very proud to be the first person in her family to graduate from college. The latter part of her career focused on reducing costs of hospital care for corporations as well as private clients. Naomi enjoyed traveling the world with her family and felt a deep connection to her family roots in Spain. Naomi was always striving to make life better for those around her, often in ways they could never imagine. She could solve any problem, and if she couldn't figure it out herself, she would find someone who could help her find a solution. She was diagnosed with a rare vasculitis, a life threatening disease in the early 2000’s, which impacted her remaining years. Naomi fully embraced life and everything it had to offer, and her absence is profoundly felt.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Paul Gee Jr. and Anthony Manelis. She is survived by her husband Joseph Manelis, son Brian Gee, daughter Kristina Turner, grandchildren Samantha Gee, Melissa Gee, Leon Turner, Chloe Turner, and Owen Turner.
