Penny Rena Darrough

2 Timothy 4:2
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept faith;

¨A Penny for your thoughts¨ by Arthur Arceneaux Jr.

She was light skin and fine and that was no joke
In the blink of an eye we lost her to a stroke
There is no need to cry because she will never be broke
She is working for God now so look up and talk to her thru the smoke

From her days back at Polo, she always rolled solo
Always wanted to give you a hug because that´s how she was though

Before you can wink, just sit back and think
Penny had a spot in heaven already written in ink

She was taken so soon and of course youŕe never ready
Pennyś holding steady, with Granny having a party with confetti

So before you cry, keep your head to the sky
God doesn´t make mistakes so no need to ask why
Let her rest in peace, to say the least, because left she California for the Northeast (Heaven)

She was a real mamacita, God bless Adrian, Denise, and Renita
Your sister is flying higher now than a bottle of sativa

We are all going to miss that laugh because it was like no other
Her biggest smiles came from being a loving Grandmother

She was softer than a cookie, but tougher then a steak
Now removed from all pain she no longer as to ache

Penny always rocked her gold that never became old
And if you gave her a drink she would really become bold

Penny was strong, real and confident there was so much more plenty
But if I had a nickel in my pocket right now I would rather have a Penny.
