A respected educator and dedicated professional, Philip earned his Doctorate degree from the University North Texas and initially contributed to the academic community by teaching at Louisiana State University. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans J. Hansen and Olga Wold Hansen, who instilled in him values that shaped his character.
